Overview
The Oral Biology department is one of the academic departments that presents one of the essential sciences that is considered the cornerstone of dentistry. The department offers three different programs. The first one is for Bachelor’s students where two courses dental anatomy and oral biology are educated. In the dental anatomy course, students in the second year are educated on the anatomical description and landmarks of each tooth and the oral cavity. While in the oral biology course for third-year students microanatomy of the teeth and oral tissues are also educated to enable the students to acknowledge the microscopic structure of the oral cavity and teeth and enlighten their functions.
