Overview


The resolution to construct the Faculty of Dentistry – Suez Canal University was issued in 1996 in parallel with the university's policy to spread science and knowledge and to develop this vital region. The Faculty of Dentistry – Suez Canal University is one of the modern faculties. The faculty's first batch was 1996- 1997. 

 


The faculty began to outline its different academic and clinical departments and set the faculty's staff members, cooperative body, and administrative hierarchy. To achieve this, the faculty started to accept dental academic staff members from other universities till it started to hire the first batch of its graduates (2000-2001). (15 graduate) out of (39 graduates) from the first batch got hired.

The Faculty of Dentistry – Suez Canal University aspires towards primacy and discreteness among other Dentistry faculties in education, scientific research, and societal development locally, regionally, and internationally. 
 


Mission

The Faculty of Dentistry – Suez Canal University is committed towards preparing dentists enriched with knowledge, skills, and ethics to meet societal needs and conduct scientific research using continuous learning and applying digital transformation methods. 

 

Goals

 

1st – To achieve discreet competitive competency in Dentistry education:

  • Provide a supportive educational environment to prepare unique dentists for labour market.
  • Improve education and learning efficiency. 
  • Develop measurement and assessment systems.
  • Advance the creativity and innovation of the graduate. 

 

2nd – Improve scientific research to achieve societal service with high quality:

  • Develop postgraduate programs and scientific research to match labour market progress.
  • Support scientific research.
  • Activate scientific research to serve the community. 

 

3rd - Strengthen faculty's role in societal service.

  • Develop the faculty's role in national awareness.
  • Cooperation, partnership, and societal initiative expansion
  • Enhance communication methods with the graduates.
  • Develop a service system inside the Faculty of Dentistry Educational Hospital. 

 

4th – Increase institutional performance efficiency according to the quality parameters:

  • Administrative body hierarchy to achieve balance according to the changes.
  • Support institutional performance governance.
  • Increase academic staff members and cooperative body efficiency.
  • Increase the job satisfaction of the administrative body members.
  • Develop the administrative body's skills.
  • Improve the faculty's ability to face crises and catastrophes.
